Adventures in Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy and science of spirit. We are one you and I; are you curious why?..

Here is a place to linger, to let your intellect roam. Aatmaavrajanam is being written as a progressive study and, as such, can be read like a book. Anyone arriving at any time can simply start at the very first post and work their way through at their own pace. Listen and Learn

Hari Om

'Freedays' are the 'gather our thoughts' days; Q&As; a general review of the week so far…

Yesterday, in Aatmabodha, we had a shloka which could be classified as 'shravanam'; a verse with an instruction to which the student ought to listen well. It also addressed, in that instruction, the need to discriminate between what is Real and what is not - the perennial cry of Vedanta. Whilst this little video has been posted before on AV-blog, it bears repeating (as do all teachings!) because it fully addresses yesterday's shloka...including the need for deep shravanam; active listening with an intent to inculcate meaning. It also requires good hearing, as Gurudev's voice does rise and fall - perhaps earphones will assist this.

If what you have read has made you think, tell me why. If you are wondering, others are too, so ask that question. If you have a doubt, let it out.
