Adventures in Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy and science of spirit. We are one you and I; are you curious why?..

Here is a place to linger, to let your intellect roam. Aatmaavrajanam is being written as a progressive study and, as such, can be read like a book. Anyone arriving at any time can simply start at the very first post and work their way through at their own pace. Please take time to read the info tabs and ensure you don't miss a post, by subscribing to the blog. Interaction is welcomed. Don't be a spectator - be a participator!

Be The Driver

Hari OM

Application - that is what 'Workings-days' are about!

The virtues are what have been under the microscope here, as given by scriptures and handed down form the gurus. We are daily at work on ourselves, if we are living rightly, with awareness and the desire for self-improvement. It is true, as often stated, that we may not all be seeking the very highest spiritual attainment; nonetheless, any benefit of self-analysis which brings a sense of tranquillity and improvement in life is to be welcomed… benefits which can only come from the working upon ourselves by ourselves.

This week, the words of Swami Sivananda-ji are being given to you directly. Strong words - if we do not feel ourselves moved/disturbed/emboldened by them then we are not being honest with ourselves. (If your magnification is less, please feel free to download these images and enlarge them for ease of reading.)

Remember, all the essentials for self-adjustment are to be noted down in the little book !!! The taking of notes, the noting of pertinence to oneself, all this amounts to taking the shravanam and churning it through mananam. This is an ongoing saadhana.

If what you have read has made you think, tell me why. If you are wondering, others are too, so ask that question. If you have a doubt, let it out.
