Adventures in Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy and science of spirit. We are one you and I; are you curious why?..

Here is a place to linger, to let your intellect roam. Aatmaavrajanam is being written as a progressive study and, as such, can be read like a book. Anyone arriving at any time can simply start at the very first post and work their way through at their own pace. Sounds-day is for listening/viewing a variety of devotional items from and for all ages and traditions.

Usually on this day, there is presented choral music, bhajans or chants of various kinds.  Today, though, as a start to the year and in keeping with Vedanta, you are offered a movie!  A very special movie.  It is made entirely in conversational Sanskrit and is a narrative of the great sage, Adi Shankara. English subtitles are there, but it is pleasant just to listen to the flow of the language and to hear some of the chanting. We saw a 'nutshell' biography of Bhashya Kaara yesterday, and here is another exploration of his life.

Enjoy it for what it is, but also keep an ear to the sound of Sanskrit.
