'Freedays' are the 'gather our thoughts' days; Q&As; a general review of the week so far…

A New Year approaches. Don't "do resolutions"… but do "set goals". Even one goal, which is a worthy one, with noble intent, that is then followed through and achieved, will benefit the personality so much more than multiple 'what ifs' and 'if onlys'. Let not 2017 be a year of excuses and justifications for why things are not changed. Rather, determine that in 2017, one thing, just one thing, will be adjusted in your life to take you a step up in your own esteem. You may find it raises you in the eyes of others also.

If you find that the one thing is reached by month three, and that it is being maintained, by all means add another. It doesn't have to be a new year to set goals, but it's a good place to begin.

Now, loyal readers and fellow travellers; there will be a small change for the month of January here at AV-blog, as Yamini-amma is headed back to Sandeepany for a re-connection with Guru-ji, Swami Swaroopananda, and a few other inspiring folk. You will find here each day, until return-to-study on January 30th, a simple little quote to inspire you, or a link to some reading for saadhana, or other similar, easily scheduled item to keep you busy for the duration. You are also encouraged - perhaps as a 'goal to set' - to review and revise as much as you can on the texts currently under study.

It had come to attention recently that there may have been a block (not set here) on comments. If you had tried to leave a remark, apologies if you met such a block and it is hoped that it has not put you off. Remember, too, that at anytime, you can email Yamini-amma with questions, doubts, comments, using the contact form on the P-O-O-P page. Please be aware, however, that whilst in India, there will be no internet access.

Wishing you all that is best and harmonious in 2017. Warm regards, YAM xx
