Have you heard of the festival known as Posadas Navidenas? It has to be said, this was unknown here until this month! As it is specific to the South and Middle American region, its spread has been, perhaps, limited. However, now that a large number of people of Hispanic origin are living in the wider Americas, it is gradually becoming more known.
It begins on the 16th of December and goes through to Christmas Eve, the 24th. The link in the name will take you to a page explaining its origin and purpose; it certainly would add to the joy of the festival, one can't help thinking!
