Sounds-day is for listening/viewing a variety of devotional items from and for all ages and traditions.

February and soon it will be  महा शिवरात्रि/Mahaa Shivraatri. This is one of the truly great festivals for all on the spiritual path. Sri Shankar, then, will be our focus for the month in Story-days and Sounds-days.

The Chamakam is chanted in plea for all good things to be showered upon the supplicant... for full text (Sanskrit, transliteration and translation) please click here. This is a modern rendition, but chanting remains true to the tradition.
