Adventures in Advaita Vedanta, the philosophy and science of spirit. We are one you and I; are you curious why?..

Here is a place to linger, to let your intellect roam. Aatmaavrajanam is being written as a progressive study and, as such, can be read like a book. Anyone arriving at any time can simply start at the very first post and work their way through at their own pace. The Path of Practice

Hari OM
'Text-days' are for delving into the words and theory of Advaita Vedanta.

This month, there will be some revision prompts…

Today's questions all relate to information you will have accessed from the readings requested last week.
  1. What is viveka? Expand on the meaning and essence of it.
  1. Give an explanation of vairaagya.
  1. Summarise the shamaadhi-shatka-sampatti.
  1. What is mumukshutvam?
  1. What is the overall name given to these 'guidelines of practice'?

For daily application of Vedanta this is the very core of understanding; be sure you have grasped it and can name the components in the Sanskrit easily and quickly - and know what the words mean. Not just in translation, but what they mean to you as a saadhaka.

If what you have read has made you think, tell me why. If you are wondering, others are too, so ask that question. If you have a doubt, let it out.
